Dr.David K. Allen Of

Epic Village CDC

Dr. David K. Allen is the Founder and Executive Director Epic Village Community Development Corporation and of DAVIDKELVIN INC, a Management & Leadership Training Corporation. His organization, Epic Village Community Development Corporation is a 501C3 Non-Profit Organization based in Brooklyn, NY. It was founded in 2020 with its intentional purpose of bridging the divide of resources and awareness affecting families and leaders of low-income communities. In its four years of inception, Epic Village with Dr. David Allen has reached across the divide assisting families throughout the entire year. Dr. Allen presently serves as the Senior Pastor of Bethel Tabernacle AME Church in the Community of Weeksville, Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Our Founder, Dr. David Allen was born and raised in St. John’s Antigua where he served as an undercover detective in the Narcotics department and within other agencies. In his education, he attended Metropolitan College of New York, where he attained his BA in Business in 2003 and graduated with honors. In continuing his studies, Dr. Allen attended the Alliance Theological Seminary and graduated with honors with a degree of Master of Divinity in 2013 and his Doctoral Degree in Church and Community Development at Drew University in May of 2017. Dr. David K. Allen is an ordained Itinerant Elder and Senior Pastor in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Dr. Allen has also worked for many well-known corporations as a CEO and also in various leadership positions for the following companies, Coach, Kenneth Cole, L’Oréal USA, and at J.P. Morgan Private Wealth where he worked for ten years as a Private Wealth Banker. Through his Corporation, David Kelvin Inc, Dr. Allen and his team have conducted workshops and training on Management and Leadership, Sexual Harassment, Employee Morale and Development, Workplace Management, Time Management and Senior Management Consulting. Annually, Dr. Allen partners with churches in the Caribbean to do weekly retreats and leadership seminars. With a passion for Community Development and growth, Dr. Allen has facilitated monthly and annual leadership meetings and retreat groups in New Jersey and Connecticut, Queens, St. Martin, Anguilla, Antigua, London and in South Africa. In working to build Community Relations, pastoral leadership and the relations between Church and community, Dr. Allen has collaborated trainings via many well-known organizations including City-to-City NYC and with L.E.A.D NY, ALI -Advanced Leadership Intensive. He is known for his saying “Let’s not be a Monument but a Movement”. Presently, while active in church and community, he has worked with many nonviolence groups and community organizations including the 67th Precinct God Squad, The 77th Precinct United Clergy Council, The 77th Precinct Community Council, The 100th precinct of Far Rockaway Arverne, NOBLE NYPD, Young Life Crown Heights, Repair The World Brooklyn, JCRCNY( Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, WAABFAH( We Are All Brooklyn Against Hate Fellowship,) One Crown Heights, UJA( United Jewish Association) and Romemu Brookly Synagogue. On a monthly basis, Dr. Allen organizes “Brooklyn Communities Against The Hate, where community influencers around Brooklyn gather to discuss the issues on Hate Crimes, Bias Incidents and Bullying that is prevalent in the Black and Brown Communities. During the Summer, Dr. Allen works with numerous police entities to have street events for youth of all ages around Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and many Housing Developments. With all his community and international achievements, Dr. David Allen Greatest achievement is his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and with his family. He is married with two children.

Epic Village Community Development Corporation seeks to serve
communities by empowering both young and older adults, to create safe
spaces within their community towards eradicating Hate Crimes and Hate

The Vision of Epic Village Community Development Corporation is to see
Black and Brown communities adequately equipped with resources to
empower Families to live safe and fulfilling lives within the communities they
are called to serve and live.
